Kimi-User
Fetches pages when a Kimi user asks it to read a page or answer with live web results. Moonshot says it doesn't bulk-crawl and robots.txt may not directly apply.
What happens if you block it
Moonshot says blocking it may reduce your visibility in searches users run through Kimi.
Our take
Keep it allowed if you want Kimi to read your pages for users.
robots.txt
To block it:
User-agent: Kimi-User Disallow: /
To allow it explicitly (useful when a wider rule blocks other bots):
User-agent: Kimi-User Allow: /
The operator's own words
because actions are user-triggered, robots.txt rules may not directly apply月之暗面 Kimi documentation, checked 2026-11-02
robots.txt allows it, but is it really getting through?
A firewall or CDN rule can reject Kimi-User even when robots.txt welcomes it, and nothing in your CMS shows it. Our check sends a live request as Kimi-User alongside a normal browser and a Googlebot control, so a bot-verification rule isn't mistaken for a block.
